We highly recommend it for those wanting link previews who have been less than happy with other
applications' execution.
—Kirstin Shoemaker, Download Squad (A Technorati Top 60 blog)
The degree to which this application can be customized is astounding! ... I can envision myself using this tool more and more as I find out more about its features.

I came across an extension the other day that I think is going to become very popular, extremely fast.
It’s called Interclue and it is a cross between Snap Shots, Cooliris, Link Alert, and iReader…and it may very well be one
of the best Firefox add-ons that I have seen
— Ryan Wagner, Cybernet News
(This was a very extensive review! A picture of it is to the right).
...very nicely implemented and it doesn't interfere with my browsing...I'm definitely impressed with the implementation of web
previews in Interclue.
— Richard
MacManus, ReadWriteWeb, (A Technorati Top 20 blog)
Interclue is a Firefox extension that adds more information about a link when you hover over it. It's not that annoying as the famous Snap tooltip and it certainly provides much more information about the page....the most impressive thing is that
all this data loads almost instantly and it's actually useful, especially when you want to judge the quality of a search result (including if it returns a server error)
....a brilliant tool.
— Ionut Alex Chitu, Google Operating Sysem, (A Technorati Top 70 blog)
One of the elements that raises Interclue above other preview extensions is the ability to customize the appearance and functionality that is accessible in the preview windows. It is for instance possible to add thumbnails, a digg this button, delicious tagclouds, define the amount of words for the preview and much more.
This is a highly flexible extension which could replace any other preview link extension that you might be using.
— Martin Brinkmann, gHacks
Interclue doesn't just display a tiny replica of what's hiding under the link. It uses algorithms to intelligently construct a summary of the target page
... Essentially the goal of a link previewer is to save you clicks. But the way Interclue has been designed, it saves you a lot of time as well.
— Mayank Sharma, Linux.com
Interclue packs a lot of useful information in its previews
without being obtrusive. It's nicely executed and is especially
practical for news sites. Makes browsing more efficient, overall.
— Siri, Killer
Startups
To be honest, I've only been using Interclue for something like
30 seconds or so but so far it seems much more sophisticated and
[thorough] than Snap — plus it has more features.

March 2008: Interclue became the first Firefox Extension made in the Southern Hemisphere to be recommended by Mozilla. At the time there were only 27 "recommended" add-ons out of over 5000 in the official addons.mozilla.org directory. More recently a new rotation policy means that more add-ons get a chance to be featured at the front of the site, but Interclue has made regular appearances there.

m-net converage, 31st July: Firefox users rave about Kiwi-made preview tool
Like the Interclue Motto says -- "Click Less -- Do More", I found Interclue very useful. Preview the contents of a link, then "Open this page in a new Background Tab"
or in the current window, or "Copy text to the ClipBoard" are such useful functions that I don't know how I got along without them before finding Interclue.
That's after using it for only one day! I can see some real Productivity gains here.

I have my geekly moments, and have installed (and then uninstalled) more shareware and freeware than I care to remember.
I download one in a hundred I read about, and keep one in twenty of those. So the odds of finding and keeping are remote.
But I think this one is a keeper – a firefox add-on called Interclue.
—Fred First, Floyd County
This is an excellent and ingenious Firefox extension and
probably my most useful one of all. Thank you very much for your
creative work on this. I use it constantly. I visited New Zealand a
couple years ago by the way. It's a country to be proud of. When I
get back to Christchurch someday, maybe I will visit to see the
innovative creators of Interclue.
—Terry, Medical Professional
Sheer unalloyed brilliance. Interclue proves that page previews can be a tool of great utility in the workplace.
Less floridly, you guys just saved me about 1500 mouse clicks and three hours of my life which would have been spent manually checking links.
— Gareth, Web Developer, UK
Thanks for the greatest add on that exists for Firefox.
I still find things it does to make life easier, that I had no knowledge of.

Do you love Interclue? Add your endorsement here.
Interclue is really a wonderful project. I imagine you have done such wonderful things by carefully parsing the webpage into segments.
I have been tinkering with something like this myself. I wrote a few simple Ruby Mousehole scripts to collect a list of available linked files.
I've clearly been outdone and then some...I'll be spreading the good word, this is awesome. Seriously. Good work.

A lot of online abstract summaries have huge long lists of
titles, and loading up each abstract in a tab is a bummer, and this
looks like the best thing we've ever seen in getting through lots of
text summaries like an abstract compilation.
— Zane
Bruce, PhD
It is very well considered piece of software. I love the way is is so user centric and completely configurable.
It is a very innovative product and has changed the my browsing experience for ever as I no longer need to maintain many tabs.
-- Edwin Dando, Clarus Ltd, Christchurch, New Zealand
Easy to use out of the box. I've never fiddled with the settings - I don't need to.
Love it for reading the online newspapers and previewing webmail.
-- Ian Johnson, IT Consultant
Thanks for a truly wonderful and convenient tool that lends ease and convenience to web surfing: Splendid job!!!
- MJT, New York.
I've yet to learn to drive it fully, but I've read your privacy policy and found it has as much respect for my privacy as I could wish for……..full marks, and may it continue this way! Secondly, your add-on seems incredibly well thought out and I'm so looking forward to using it.
Regards to all the team.
-- Ken, New Zealand
5/5. A superb browse ahead tool, one of the best Firefox add-ons I've used.

I can see Interclue saving us a lot of time and helping us avoid

This one is a keeper!
by Max BBT on June 21, 2007 (rated 10)
I have to agree with the reviews below - pain free and very useful. Installed on Vista (v.1.1.1, now 1.1.2.4064). Had Cooliris before that but Interclue gives a lot more useful info as others have mentioned already, has more options and so far i have no problems, smooth. Have to add that support is excellent too - the author(-s) is responsive and a pleasure to deal with. Never thought i’d be interested in this kind of extension but suddenly i see this one as a keeper along with my everyday/version/profile standbys. Good job!
Way better than expected

I’d tried CoolIris and uninstalled it pretty quickly, couldn’t live with it. I expected Interclue to be as awkward in its own way, but I can see where the work has gone in on the UI and added-value. Definitely a keeper. Best features: Its ability to get at the important page content so reliably from a range of sites and pages. No resources spent on hints for navigation links. Would like to see: Faster preview fetching, always. But it’s pretty good already. I’m using 1.1.2. It installed seamlessly and works fine on my Firefox 2.0.0.4/XP.
Works as advertised!
by Vyper on June 20, 2007 (rated 10)
I was using a different preview add-on until I discovered this one. For what I do, I don’t need to see what a page I’m previewing looks like. I need to know its content. This add-on does that beautifully with a bucketful of options and information you can include or exclude. If you use any preview add-on, give this one a look.
